Hi,

Last May I had an appointment with rheumatology and they told me they found a small growth on my spine (between T8 and T10). Due to back pain and on & off numbness in my legs/feet they told me they wanted another MRI done and for me to be referred to neurology. Fast forward to May of this year (a whole year later) I was still waiting for the MRI and neurology referral to be done. I had to call up and long story short they had FORGOTTEN to request both things. 
 

I had my MRI done tuesday afternoon of this week, was a very uncomfortable time as my back was in so much pain. Not to mention how loud those machines are haha. As I came out, I asked the radiologist how long it would take to receive my results and his answer was 'I have been asked not to tell you'. That answer made me slightly uncomfortable however I understand they literally can't say anything about the scan. I'm just worried the growth will have gotten bigger? 

I hate this waiting game I have to play, especially after they took so long to even get me to this point. I understand the NHS is under a lot of stress, my mums a nurse herself but I just feel quite disheartened that they forgot to do both referrals and that it's taken me to remind them. Especially when i'm in constant pain with my back. 

Has anyone had anything similar?
