Calprotectin result abnormal

I am having a bit of a freak out.

Last week I noticed some blood in my stool (not a great deal but enough) and had some stomach pain for a day or two that was unlike anything I had ever experianced before.I took a trip to my GP and they ordered a calprotectin test, FIT test and some bloods.

They have called today to say my calprotectin test is 269 and have reffered me now to the hospital team. 

I am majorly freaking out, mainly because I read somewhereon this forum chat that if my result was into the 1000's it would be more indicative of IBD, but if levels are near 200-300 its more likely something else....:sad:

I am petrified. I am in my early 30's with a toddler. No FIT results back yet and my bloods arent getting done until next week. It's worth noting I havent had pain since last week and havent seen any more blood in my stool that I have noticed.

Has anyone had a result similar to this and it has turned out okay? I have health anxiety so i'm so stressed and worried right now.

    Hi .. I’ve also just had a high calprotectin reading of 160 and my FIT test came back at 133.  Just wondering if your FIT trst was high and if so what was the outcome of the 2 being high? Many thanks

    I had a calp and fit test done doctor's receptionist called me to say they have found inflammation and need another test done next week when I go in for bloods didn't tell me any numbers,what could this mean ,? I haven't had my fit test results back yet , I have diverticulitis and have had polyps removed 6yrs ago . Many thanks.
