Rash on left breast

Hi everyone, I've had a rash appear on my left breast in the last week. Doctor took a very brief look and said its nothing. When asked what I was worried about and I said breast cancer, he said no that's always a lump. I have had eczema on my knees, elbows and ankles. It's always dry and very itchy. This doesn't feel like that. Its not on my underboob, and I've barely worn a bra to let it breathe in the last week. It's not healing too much. There was pain there a couple of months ago. Any advice is appreciated

  • Welcome to the forum Sunny_Days although I'm sorry to hear about the rash that has appeared on your breast.

If the rash isn't improving, or continues to get worse, do make sure you go back to your GP to let them know. If needs be, you could try getting a second opinion from a different doctor.

Many of members know how scary and worrying it can be when unexpected symptoms like this appear so you are not alone and I'm sure some of them will stop by soon to share their experiences and advice.

We're thinking of you Sunny_Days and will have our fingers crossed this rash is no cause for concern.

    Kind regards,

  • Hi, hope you are well. I’ve had the same thing. I suffer with eczema and had an eczema like rash on my left breast/nipple which hasn’t been helped by any creams. I had an appointment at the breast clinic and was told by the specialist breast cancer is always a lump too. I was diagnosed as it just being eczema as she couldn’t feel a lump (which is good news) however it does not always cause a lump.
I hope you’ve had some answers and if you feel like something isn’t right get a second opinion!
