Stomach Cancer

I am so scared. I have been taking Omeprazole for almost a month and I am going to see the doctor again this week to say I still have the same symptoms. Sometimes nausea. Sometimes pain in my upper abdomen. Sometimes feeling full up and like there is a lump in the back of my throat. Sometimes an acidic taste in the back of my throat. I sort of know I have cancer but I cannot get my head around it and am finding it very hard to function normally in from of my family.

    Hello Worried222 and a big welcome to Cancer Chat, 

    You're right to go and see the doctor again if you are still experiencing these symptoms. Don't assume though that these issues necessarily mean you have cancer - there are so many other conditions they could be linked to other than cancer so try not to anticipate the worst. 

    You are taking an important step though to go and see the doctor to have a chat about these symptoms and I hope that you get some clarity very soon on what is causing all this. 

    I hope that you will hear from other forum members who have experienced this before and that they will be along shortly to share their story with you.

    Did you get a diagnosis, am in exactly the same boat but only went to the doctor after a year of these symptoms.
