Feeling unsure, advice needed please x

Hello, me again! I asked about a lump I found two years ago and you kindly advised me to get it checked. The doctor referred me to the breast clinic and I had a scan and it turned out to be nothing serious. I've found something else that's concerning me but because I've been before and it was nothing, I feel like the doctor will just think I'm a hypochondriac. I have what feels like a kidney bean above my right nipple. Should I get it checked or is it more than likely just a lobule? My aunty passed with breast cancer so I am worry more for this reason.

  • Hi Mumofone,

A very warm welcome back to our forum.

I am so glad to hear that your initial lump iwas clear and I am sorry to hear that you still have concerns about another one. We are always advised to get any change in our breast checked out, so my advice would be to see your GP again. I am sure that the doctor will not consider you a hypochondriac, but even if s/he did, this is better than not knowing and worrying.

Many lumps are not cancerous and turn out to be benign cysts or fibrous changes. Hopefully this is what this new lump is, but better to make sure.

Please keep in touch and let us know how you get on. We are always here for you.

    Kind regards,

    Jolamine xx

  • Hi, I agree with Jolamine. Best to get it checked. I'm sure your doctor will not think you're wasting his/her time, but I hope it turns out to be nothing to worry about. All the best. Amy x
