I just wanted to share that as scary as the journey is, sometimes there can be good news. I recently found a hard, immovable lump in my neck. My GP referred me through the 2WW cancer pathway. I was convinced I had cancer and Google convinced me further. It was the worst 2 weeks of my life. I went private to see a consultant who referred me for a scan. Today I found out it's nothing worrying, just a small lymph node and some muscle and bone! This forum helped me through but you don't often hear anything reassuring so I wanted to help others to know that it can be okay even when you're referred this way. It helped me to know that more than 9/10 people referred on the pathway do not get diagnosed with cancer. I hope this post helps someone. I will be making a donation after payday to cancer research UK. Good luck everyone x
