Biopsy Results

Hello, my mum had 6 biopsy samples taken yesterday from her stomach and was told they know the cells are cancerous but need to know what grade. She was told it could be around 6 months until she hears back. However research says 2 - 10 days. Can anyone help please?

most biopsy results are within 7to 14 days I don't think 6 months is normal maybe you heard wrong I would call up today and double check

6 months seems wildly excessive and perhaps a mistake was made there.
it wouldn't be uncommon for it to take a couple of weeks. Leave it for 2 weeks and then call to follow up I would

That's what we thought so we double checked. I just don't understand why 6 months. They said staff shortages and such like. Just can't get my head around this? Thanks for your reply though
