Worried about vein in breast

Hi there

I am driving myself mad with worry.  I have for some time had a rather prominent vein in my left breast (not so much the colour, the thickness) which seems to be thicker at various times of the month, the other day i noticed a kind of lump under it, however this seems to come and go also.  Got a Docs appointment on Friday but just absolutely terrified!  

Wondered if anyone had any experience of this as cant think what else it could be

    Hi M, it know it's really hard (pretty impossible) not to worry but try to remember that most breast lumps are no cause for worry. This does sound hormonal. Try to keep busy and distracted, meet up with friends, go for a nice walk every day. It will really help cope with the anxiety and help you sleep better if you are struggling to switch off.     Thank you so much Amy, that is so kind and comforting.  I am definitely going to try and distract myself before Friday and will let you all know how it goes.

    Hi - just an update.  Doctor seems fairly convinced it is hormonal and nothing to worry about but has referred me to breast clinic anyway.

    Trying now not to worry about it and just get on with things.  Thank you for your words.
