I had a smear last year which showed HPV positive and was told to come back after a year for a follow up. I had this done in March and this showed as HPV positive with High Grade (severe) Dyskaryosis and I was referred for a colpsocopy a week after.

I had the colposcopy and whilst I was there was told she could see the affected area and would like to do the lletz proceedure and a biopsy. Once this was done, she said all looked good and she would send me the results in a letter in 3 to 6 weeks. 

I have since had a letter stating they have my biopsy results and they have been sent for further testing and to attend an appointment to discuss the results. 

Is this normal? I assume things cant be good if an appointment to discuss? I would appreciate hearing peoples similar experiences. I just want to be prepared.
