QFIT

I have had 2 positive fit tests,I am feeling very confused and scared.

In October last year my GP referred me to a cancer screening program due to some on going simptoms, they were fantastic and tested head to toe and said NO sign on cancer so I have been happy with a clean health check.

Just done the 2 yearly bowel check and it's positive even paid for a second to be sure of results.

My CT scan in October said no Mass seen, unpreped bowl and no abnormal changes. Surely nothing would grow from October to May.

I am beyond scared of colonoscopy as I had one years ago without sedation and it was barbaric I just can't face having it done. I looked into private test by that's 2kplus and every bit of my savings. I am feeling distraught.

Lost my Dad and Grandad to this disease.

Surely a clear abdomen CT in October shows it's not cancer

  • Hi Ezzmay

    Thanks for your reply

Sorry to hear about your Arthritis you must be in a lot of discomfort I really hope they can sort your meds to bring it all under control.

When you have the colonoscopy ask for sedation I believe you don't feel a thing.

I have the opposite to you regarding iorn as I have just been diagnosed with hereditary iorn overload, this is why I didn't follow up on bowel habit change, I became very constipated with black stools I just thought it was because of the extra iorn.

Anyway I have a appointment on Wednesday so hopefully I will get it all straight in my head and then make a plan.
