Hematology results in the morning

Hi,

im feeling really anxious and stressed as I have my results In the morning, it's felt like a very long 2weeks but I'm feeling like I want this over with,

my wbc have been at 33 and inflammation markers are up 

just wondering if anyone has suffered severe joint pain like proper flu that results in me having to go to bed

i also get fevers and super bad chills

i have a lymph in my neck swollen for weeks, weight losssnd generally feel unwell, mainly joint pain, has anyone else felt like this.   Thankd

  • Hi Dontia and welcome to the forum.

    I noticed you're getting your results tomorrow so I just wanted to wish you good luck.

    I'm sure some of our members who have been in a similar position will stop by soon to share their experiences and advice but if you'd like to discuss your situation or the outcome of your results with one of our cancer nurses, you can do this on 0808 800 4040, Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m. Our nurses are very insightful, and supportive, and will do all that they can to help.

    Good evening Steph Thanks for your reply, maybe I should of posted earlier The anxiety is tearing me apart right now, not sure I’m going to get much sleep tonight I spoke to the consultant receptionist today to ask if to bring anyone with me she said always good to have extra pair of ears I’m so undecided if I would rather go alone Donna

    Hi Dontia,

    A very warm welcome to our forum.

    I am sorry to hear that you feel so stressed out about your results appointment tomorrow. I just wanted to reassure you that most of us feel like this, in the 2 week wait. It is always a good idea to take someone with you to your appointment, along with a written list of any questions you may have. 

    When our anxiety is at such a high level, it is all too easy to forget important questions and to forget details of your results, before you even leave the hospital. This is definitely a case where two heads are better than one!

    I sincerely hope that you get some sleep tonight and that you get some answers tomorrow.

    just want to wish you the best of luck with your results today.

    I have been through similar, and I know exactly the kind of anxiety you're going through - I'm not even going to try and convince you it gets better, it doesn't.

    I hope your results go well today. Please let us all know how you get on

    Thank you all for your kind words and support my appointment is at 11, I didn't sleep too badly surprisingly,

    not long until I hopefully have some answers to what's going on,

    ive decided to take someone with me,

    I will let you all know how I got on later today,
