I was referred to gynaecology in September for ongoing pelvic pain, super Irregular periods, nausea, vomiting, brain fog.. the list goes on.
A scan revealed lumps on my ovary around 4cm in size.
2 months later they are no longer visable by ultrasound due to a 'mass' in the way which is at least 7cm.
that scan was in feb.
After multiple attempts to have this expided by the GP, the last attempt to expedite which was a little over a week ago, seems to have worked. I today had a call to say that I have an appointment on 18th with a consultant in the gynaecology oncology unit.
It's sent my head into a bit of a spin. As I have waited so long I assumed it couldn't possibly be cancer related or I wouldn't be delayed.
I did have cervical cancer in 2019. Caught early and treated.
Is it normal to be sent straight to oncology?
