Swollen lymphs found on lungs during CT scan

Hi I've been in hospital three times this week once took in by ambulance ,the gp called me and told me to go in and the hospital asked me to go back next day ,to cut a very long story short , I've had a CT scan to help diagnose blood clots on lungs , but there wasn't blood clots there was lots of swollen lymphs . The scan I had to go back in twice and have more of the dye in vein as they focused in on an area of concern .I waited quite some time on the ward for the results .they've told me I need biopsy and I've been rapid acesss reffered to heamatology department . They took more bloods tests too . I'm bit worried I'm very very fatigued cannot walk because of it and I have night sweats, everynight I'm drenched with sweat . My skin is very itchy on my body and I get very breathless doing simple tasks . So now it's just waiting for appointment to come through to see the heamatologist and get biopsys. Is anyone else going through this? ,how did you get on ?

  • Hello Chrissyh,

I'm sorry to hear about your recent experience and that you're now dealing with all these symptoms.

Hopefully, other forum members who can relate to what you're feeling will come along shortly to share their experiences with you, until they do and while you wait to see the haematologist if you think it could help to speak with one of our nurses, feel free to ring them on this freephone 0808 800 4040, Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m.

Keeping my fingers crossed you'll get some answers soon and that they won't be anything to worry about.

    With best wishes,
