Liver mass

Hi there, I gave birth 7 months ago and have suffered with terrible bouts of abdominal pain since then, usually lasting 1-3 hours and being worse than labour. One time was really bad and included vommiting so I went to the GP. Blood tests showed jaundice so she sent me for a scan. The sonographer said that the scan showed some gallstones but also a large mass on my liver, so I will need another scan to see if it is cancerous. Has anyone been in this situation before? I am worried sick, I know the gallstones are there but it just seems too much of a coincidence for this mass to be benign

  • Welcome to the forum Jess although I'm sorry to hear about the symptoms you've been contending with since you gave birth last year.

    I know this mass being found on your liver must be worrying but if you can, try not to think the worst until you know more. Always easier said than done, especially when waiting for further scans, but I hope you can take some comfort from knowing that you are not alone and hopefully some of our members who have been in a similar situation will share their experiences and advice with you soon.
