Hysteroscopy and Laparoscopy

Hi all,

So after a few strange symptoms, mainly lots of unusual bleeding and pain I was referred to have a hysteroscopy and laparoscopy. This was around 6 months ago.

I received a random invitation for an anaesthetic appointment, pre op was done (assumed it was for my spinal surgery as waiting for this too), it was only when I got there I found out it was the pre op for this.

I've received no information since, is it normal to have the pre op before even knowing when the op is or should I give them a call?

Pre op was on the 11th so a couple weeks ago now.

Any advice you guys have I'd appreciate

Thank you

It's not unusual to have a pre-op assessment without having been given a date for your procedure but as you've not heard anything there's no harm in giving the department a call to clarify how long you may be waiting.

Hopefully you will have some news soon.

    Best wishes,
