Two final questions about cancer

Firstly, to say thanks for the advice that I’ve received over the past few months. I go into the hosptial for my tests in less than 36 hours time.

I’ve just got a few more questions, just so I can prepare myself.

1. If an abdominal pain constantly shifts from place to place and appears some days, but not others, and only for a short time, does that make it less likely that it is cancer than if it is constant and in one place?

2. How long does it take to get the results of a CT Scan? Will the radiologist tell me instantly if something is clearly wrong?

  • Hey Joe,

I'm not sure if you've had your tests just yet, but if not, I just wanted to wish you good luck and let you know we're thinking of you.

I don't think our members can really answer the questions in your post but our team of cancer nurses might be able to help so if you'd like to get their thoughts on this, you can contact them on 0808 800 4040, Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m. They're very insightful and will do all they can to help.

I hope you're able to find out more soon and that the results of your tests bring good news when they come through.

    All the best,
