Suspected liver cancer - waiting for results

Hi all!

I'm new here and wanted to share my journey so far!

I had bloods done in early March to check my cholesterol and hba1c to see if my prediabeties had changed (turns out I'm now type 2) as well as check various things to see why I was feeling so exhausted all the time.

When I got the blood test form, I thought screw it, might as well tick a few extra boxes and check everything else (thank god I did!) I ticked liver, CRP and ESR.

Results came back a few days and my Alkaline phosphatase was at 231 and my CRP at 87 so the nurse arranged for a liver ultrasound. At the time I thought it was due to my very low vitamin D levels so never thought my liver was a concern.

Had the ultrasound 2 weeks later and during the scan, the sonographer suddenly looked concerned after I said the scan was hurting me in my upper abdomen and started asking lots of questions about symptoms and medication. He told me I should ring my GP 2 days later to check if the results were in. The letter was received 2 days later, but it was 13 days before I was able to speak to a GP to go through the results.

The ultrasound found multiple lesions on my liver, one being 10cm x 5.2cm with mild internal vascularity. He also found fatty liver and fat deposits on my Pancras and gallbladder. He suspected cancer so my GP did my 2 week urgent refferal.

Had the phonecall from the hospital 4 days later and my CT scan the day after. Bloods were done last Friday where my AFP and CA19-9 have come back normal, but I understand that only half of liver tumors cause an elevated AFP reading so can't take it as gospel yet.

Now I'm just in the weird limbo of anxiety waiting to find out the results from my CT and find out if it is cancer or not.

I'm only 31, live by myself so been doing a lot of panicking, worry what I'm going to do if it is cancer etc.
