Please respondSo scared - suspected secondary breast cancer

I am so scared

I had a biopsy in 2018 of a breast lump - it came back normal

last time I was checked (may 2021 ) I was told no further action required.

fast forward to march 2023

suddenly having severe pain in right side , accompanied by nausea , numbness in right leg , tingling sensations in pelvis , extreme fatigue , pain in groin . All abdominal Ct and ultrasound scans are clear Z

presented at a and e multiple times due to severe right sided pain. Even had a brain mri due to numbness on one side of my body which was clear . My ribs cage is so so sore and tender z

the lump in my breast has got smaller to press on  but it feels a lot harder and more rigid and is not moving I don't know how I didn't notice before

my blood results also showed I'm borderline B12 deficient , very low on folate. Slightly elevated vitamin D.

i am 30 with three little girls 2,6 and 7 years old.

i am Petrified and feel so stupid .

  • Hello bx

I'm so sorry to hear that you're dealing with some ongoing health problems at the moment and that despite multiple scans and tests the Dr's haven't yet been able to find the cause.

It does sound reassuring that nothing of immediate concern has been picked up on the CT, MRI, and ultrasound scans that you've had. It sounds as if your blood work hasn't shown any serious concerns either but hopefully the GP will talk with you about the next steps regarding the slight abnormalities that were noted.

Living with ongoing pain can be very wearing and it's understandable that you're feeling worried about what may be causing your symptoms. Do keep in touch with your GP as they are the first port of call for arranging any further tests or referrals that may be appropriate. They should also be able to help you to manage the anxiety that you're feeling.

If you'd like to chat things through with one of our nurses you're welcome to call them on 0808 800 4040, Monday to Friday 9 am to 5 pm.

I do hope that you get some answers soon and that the Dr's are able to improve things for you.

    Best wishes,
    Jenn
