i had a post menopausal bleed starting 31st March lasted around a week. I had a bilateral oopharectomy (not sure it's spelt right) 9 years ago and haven't had a period since. Been on HRT patch and utrogestan pill pretty much since the op.  I was fast track to gynaecology who I saw yesterday. I had a vaginal scan and a hysterescopy . They said take 2 paracetamol an hour beforehand as they don't offer any other pain relief. I actually thought I was going to be sick and pass out . Solid 8/10 on the pain scale. Anyway the consultant said my lining is 11mm thick  but my uterus looks fine . No polyps or fibroids and a healthy colour. He took a small biopsy and said he didn't expect anything to come of it. Now I have to wait around 3 weeks for the results. My mom and my Nan had womb cancer so I was expecting him to tell me I had it . I can't stop worrying as I know my lining is on the thicker side .
