Lymph node

Hello, I found a lymph node in my neck back in February after me and my daughters had scarlett fever. Its on the back of my neck near my hairline. It doesn't feel huge and I'm not sure how much it's grown really, it doesn't seem like much.

Ever since I've been worried about it. I have an ultrasound next week. I've been put on two lots of antidepressants as I have really bad health anxiety which is effecting every day life. I just have this feeling internally of just a constant tremble and shake. I'm really scared. I have two young daughters I just want to know what's going on.

I sometimes get a sore throat aswell and my neck just feels achy. Sometimes I'm made to think is it just brain putting it on because all my bloods and things have come back normal I just don't feel right in myself I haven't for a long time now.

  • Hello Mumof2perfectgirls,

Even though you're feeling this way, it's encouraging that you're tests have come back normal so far.

When you’re worried that you may have cancer, it can be natural to think the worst and want to look for answers online, but this can end up increasing anxiety rather than making you feel better. Anxiety UK has some useful advice and information.

I hope this helps and that your next appointment goes ok,
