Worrying.

Hello, for the past 10 weeks I've been waiting to see what this lump is on my child's outer thigh , it's at the front of the thigh , anyway we got refferd to the plastic burns unit and they told us point blank we are looking at sarcoma,  I'm glad they did put it all into perspective,  anyway she had a scan and the sonographer did say " it looks like a pool of blood " which In all honesty I could finally breathe again . Anyway they did say there going to book another appointment in 4-6 weeks because he said it should be gone by then . Since that appitment ny daughter has been so poorly has 3 lots of different antibiotics for 3 diffent infections,  she's had temperature as high as 40.5 , I've took her a n e, to the gp I've asked multiple times to please can she have a blood test because something isn't sitting with me , I've explaing about the lumps because I'm myself as a mum isn't sure that I'd a pool of blood as for the past 2 weeks on the other thigh she now has 2 larger lumps and the original lump is still there after 10 weeks.  Multiple Doctors have told me just keep chasing up. 'You are her voice' keep pushing.  And I don't know what else to do . I've rang the receptionist of the consultant my daughters under and I get no where I just have to leave messages . I just keep getting told when children go nursery to catch everything , and my response is ' she dosnt go to nursery'    . I've not seen her bang herself or herself there no signs of bruising.

I'm loosing my mind ,  is there anyone out there who's has any sort of simular experiences and it turned out to be okay? Because at the moment as a mother my instincts  are telling me something isn't right.

  • Hi Jolley123,

I'm sorry to hear of the ongoing difficulties getting some answers - I can understand this must be frustrating and worrying.

You mention you have an appointment in 4-6 weeks following your last appointment. I'm not sure how much longer you now have to wait for this, but this will be the best way to get some answers.

With any change of symptoms or if you feel you need information sooner, as you say the only thing is to try to call.

I'm sorry to not be able to offer any different advice but I hope you're able to hear more soon.

    Wishing you all the best,

    Ben
