Blood Calcium level of 3.08mmol

Hi there. I had some private bloods done as a free work perk. I've been contacted by the private GP today who said my blood calcium is coming out at 3.08mmol and this is on the higher side. I think this converts to 12.34mg. Obviously I've been on google and I'm worried. I'm a smoker and in the last few months I've gone from being a 55 year old Duracell bunny to having no energy. My whole body hurts. Does anyone have any thoughts or experience of referrals for a calcium level of this range? Thank you.

I'm sorry to hear that following some recent blood tests you're now feeling anxious about the results.

We know that many people turn to the internet for answers and information when they have health concerns. Unfortunately a lot of the information available ends up leaving people far more worried and still with no answers so for now, try to avoid searching online for answers.

The best person to discuss the results with will be either the private GP who contacted you or your normal Dr as they will be able to explain things and hopefully answer any questions you have.

I do hope that you can get some reassurance soon.

    Best wishes,
