Lump in neck for 4 months, now in groin and collar bone.

Hello,

I am here because I feel like I'm going insane. I had a lump appear out of nowhere in December which hasn't gone down (now in April) I have also lost 4kg in weight in a couple months without changing anything about my diet and trying to put in back on. I have been to multiple doctors had scans and bloods and so far nothing is coming up. I now have one above my collar bone which is visible and in my groin area. Groin about 2 months and collar bone now a week.

Am I going insane or is it bizarre that I'm being turned away with no answers and no attempt of any type of treatment to resolve this issue.

Is it possible for lymphomas to be missed through all these tests so far? As I have now been referred to hemotology on Friday.

Wondering if anyone has had a similar experience and have either ended up with a diagnosis or these swollen nodes have eventually gone away without an answer?

Thank you, feeling very stressed out and feeling it's mad to be turned away with no answers for all of this.

  • Hi Libby04,

Welcome to Cancer Chat. I can understand this is frustrating if it feels like you're not getting any answers or explanation for the symptoms.

It's good to hear you have a referral booked for this week. Try to make the most of that appointment by asking any questions you have, including what you need to do to get some answers or reassurance for this.

At any point you do have the option of getting a second opinion, although by the sounds of it this may be something you have already done.

I hope you're able to hear more soon.

    Wishing you all the best,

    Ben
