Hi I found a lump on my right breast over a week ago and my doc examined me yesterday and discovered a lump the size of 2 finger tips on my left breast. I'm worried sick lots of my family members have passed due to cancer
I was in a similar position to you 13 years ago. I had already lost my mum and several other family members to cancer and naturally, feared the worst. I was greedy and had a second cancer in the same breast the following year. Despite this, I still lead a busy and fulfilling life and I'm sure that you will too.

Your appointment will usually come through within 2 weeks from the date of your appointment. There are a number of reasons for lumps and not all of them are cancerous. Many people have benign cysts or fibroadenoma. It is a fact that only 2 people out of every 10 who attend the breast clinic will get a cancer diagnosis, so the odds are still on your side.
Many of us would say that this is the worst part of our cancer journey, as it is so difficult to deal with the unknown. Irrespective of the outcome, it is so much easier to cope when you know what you are dealing with.
