Worried about having lymphoma

Hello everybody I wasn't too sure where to go or who to talk to so here I am hoping I will get some advice!
For a good while now I've felt 'off' but wouldn't say ill as such.
Going back a good few months back I went to my gp with stomach problems and suspected small hernia sitting on my stomach above my belly button (could this possible be a lympnode?) and mild night sweats on and off. Gp agreed probably a hernia asked if wanted to be referred for op I said not as of yet as was causing no trouble etc, he sent bloods and for endoscopy. The later came back fine but bloods showed CRP level as 207.00 go was pretty alarmed called me back done a full body check didn't seem to find any cause and requested again. Am guessing the next set came back okay as I was never called back. The night sweats seemed to stop for a while, come back for a short time then cool off again and remain the same now.
since then I've had moment where I have intense itching all over my body maybe a little worse on my legs to the point I am bruising with them. Temperature changes seem to increase them especially after showering.
Then came the alcohol reaction. It started off as really bad pains in my lower legs with a red raw blotching rash. As time goes by it seems to be become more wide spread are after minor sips of alcohol. It triggers in my neck/shoulder area and in my wrist strangely enough.
I went to the gp they suggest allergy ezcema and maybe thyroid. Thyroid had tested fine and skin treatment makes no difference as the pain feels really deep like in my bones.
I have a mild swelling in a node in my left neck that is bean shaped and noticeable but only a little. And one in my inner elbow crease. I've looked at pictures online and my swelling is no where near what I have seen and I worry if I go to the doctors telling them I think it could be this they will pretty much write it off because as far as I can tell I don't have the typical large swelling of nodes.
I have very little energy, my body aches and I tend to get breathless walking up the stairs etc.

I have not lost any weight and have been suffering with insomnia. The itching gets worse lying in bed with the heat.
i am so sorry for such a long winded post I just wanted to get as much insight as possible. And I know this isn't a medical forum which is going to give me a diagnosis. I just wanted some advice from people who have experienced anything like this and is it worth me going to gp and fighting for this to be considered?

many thanks everybody any advice would be highly appreciated.

  • Hi!

I'm not sure how relevant my experience will be but here goes!

I discovered swollen lymphnodes on my neck only but GP referred me for ultrasound which ultimately led to having a CT which showed more enlarged lymphnodes internally (neck and pelvis area) than I was aware of and then PET scan which I'm waiting to get the result of to tell me what's going on. I don't have a diagnosis yet.

I've had no symptoms at all outside of enlarged lypmhnodes except for weight loss last year which I put down to stress.

My referral was sent to the "vague symptoms clinic" and they were the ones that decided on the CT scan if that helps, not my GP.

You sound like you're showing more physical symptoms alinging with lymphoma symptoms than I am so I would personally request an ultrasound at the very least from your GP or a further referral?

I was asked about having itch and night sweats at my appointments which I haven't had so they do take it on board!

    Wishing you well!

  • Thank you so much for your reply!

May I ask if it's not too personal, how swollen were your lymphnodes? That's the one thing making doubt it all.

they're not very noticeably swollen and feel around the same size as a kidney bean.

  • Of course!

So on the left side of my neck next to my windpipe I can feel one that's about the size of a pea, maybe small kidney bean.

On right side, when they first enlarged one was huge. About the size of a thumb. When I got up that morning and looked in the mirror I got such a fright! Literally appeared overnight. It was diagonal in shape from underneath my jaw bone where say my molars start and diagonally toward my thyroid. Down near my thyroid it felt like the bottom of the lymphnode felt more solid, the ultrasound later revealed this more solid part was in fact another enlarged lymphnode peeping out from underneath the bottom one that was about the size of a kidney bean.

The largest one has since reduced a bit but still there and noticeable.

The others that were picked up on the CT scan, I can't feel at all
