Hello,
About 6 weeks ago I noticed a slight discomfort in on side of my throat around my tonsil, I assumed I was just getting sick but as it didn’t go away I looked and saw that one of my tonsils is enlarged, it’s not painful when I swallow or anything, just a very slight discomfort. After unsuccessfully trying to reduce the size of the tonsil with cortisone my doctor referred me to an ENT specialist who detected another swollen and hard lymph node in my neck on the same side but slightly higher up, towards the ear. I’ve also been having night sweats for over a month, not every night, but perhaps 1 in 4 my clothes will be soaked through and sheets damp. My blood tests were normal and a chest x ray showed no other lymph nodes in the chest area. I know no one here can diagnose me, I suppose I just wondered if other people had similar symptoms, and what it turned out to be. I know the symptoms correlate with lymphoma, the ENT mentioned it when I told him about the sweats, but the ENT also said the tonsil looked benign. Do the lymph nodes look benign with lymphoma? I’m just impatient for the follow up appointments I guess so looking to talk in the meantime, my CT scan is in a week and my follow up with the ENT is in two.
Thank you everyone
