Isn't it just.  There's only so much distracting you can do!  I've never felt so frazzled.

My blood test results were awful which prompted an urgent ultrasound and more lost sleep.  I was there this afternoon and it's not my pancreas it's a gallstone issue!  I'm still processing tbh, wore myself out worrying but it's  a diagnosis.  Not that having gallstones flying around is good but it's a much better option.

I was in bed at 8pm I've got a lot of sleep to catch up on, you wonder if you'll ever feel normal again don't you.

So, next week for you.  I'm glad you've seen the Dr again it sounds like they're looking after you?  Are you getting any sleep?

I am so glad to hear that you have now got a diagnosis, which, I suspect, was better than what you were thinking. Are they going to do any surgery or are you just on medication? I well remember the many sleepless nights I had with gallstones, before I was finally relieved of a 3" gallstone. 

I sincerely hope that you manage to get some relief soon.

The guy who did the scan said there are too many medium sized stones in there for meds it would need removing.  I need to slow down and get some advice now really, I'm assuming the GP will refer me to someone.

Not ideal but as you say much better than what I was thinking after the hysteria my blood tests kept causing.

Thanks for chatting sleep has been hard to come by and everything seems so much bigger in the small hours doesn't it.

You really have been through lovey, I'm so sorry. 
It's all exhausting and having all the tests really causes anxiety. 
My mother in law had gallbladder issues a couple of years ago, she's in her eighties, finally had a gallbladder removed and hasn't looked back. 
I have managed to sleep, it's how I've always been, eventually my body takes over and I switch off. 
I hope you get plenty of sleep and are able to rest. 

I so desperately want it all to stop, yes, I do think 'will it ever be normal again', my fear is that this is the new normal.

You're nearly there now just keep doing what you're doing.  It's definitely not your new normal though I think we may both have PTSD from that first night!

I couldn't sleep with my gallstone either. I found that I was more comfortable sitting up in bed, with several pillows behind me. I expect that your GP will refer you for surgery and hopefully, they'll be able to do this by keyhole surgery. I couldn't have this because my stone was so big and recovery took much longer, as a result. Make an appointment with your GP and get this in motion as soon as you can.

Thanks Jolamine.  I'm finding other people's gallstone stories comforting.  I'm very lucky I don't have much discomfort at night the three weeks of nerves and lost sleep were due to an issue with my results. 

Anyway, I'm grateful to be on this side and I will definitely move to get it sorted asap.  Thanks again for taking the time to reply.x
