Raised CA 125 at 67. Positive outcomes only please.

Hi.

I am a 67 year old post menopausal woman. Recently out of nowhere, I had a bad bout of diahoreia for 2 days, followed by constipation and the same again 1.5 weeks later. Then I went to the Dr after 8 days of no bowel movement. I got an antibiotic and was put on 6 weeks of laxatives. Antibiotic stopped cramping and diahoreia. Laxatives are helping stool movements.

Bloods were taken and all came back clear apart from the Ca125, which is raised.Obviously this is a big worry. Dr took more bloods as said it coud be diverticulitis that raised it,waiting on that. It could also be a cyst she said. Of course all I can see is ovarian cancer. Anyone of a similar age have raised Ca125 and not have cancer?

Apart from the diverticulitis bout and feeling completely fine now, only that constipation is still lingering but not if I use laxatives,I am fine.

She is sending me for a colonoscopy and a transvaginal ultrasound. Hate the idea of both. Very anxious.

Throughout the years I have had various symptoms aches or pains that could be seen as signs of ovarian cancer, but not frequently and only on and off. They could also be seen as signs of any type of illness.

I have recently had xrays and stools tests in the last few months- all were clear. The only signs of cancer I might have is the constipation and the bout of sickness I recently had. I am full of energy, not a bit tired. No bloating or weight loss or gain.  Only from time to time woud I have pain lower pelvis, dragging, but have a low lying hernia, so more than likely that.

About 6 years ago I was diagnosed with a malignant fibroid, after a ultrasound of my kidneys. Could that show in Ca125?

Please please fill me with hope and some reassurance.

Thanks
