Lytic Lesion & Neutrophilia

Hi

I live in the Scotland but am on a 3 week  holiday of a life time. Day 2, I came off a bike on a city bike tour, broken teeth, temporary amnesia, concussion, bruised and grazed but teeth fixed now and healing well. During my visit to a&e they did a CT and no brain bleed but they did find an unrelated 5mm lytic lesion C5 vertebrae on the CT and neutrophilia in my blood test. I've booked an appointment with my GP for when I'm back but I'm scared, anxious and finding it hard to enjoy my holiday. I was very ill with a chest infection in August with high leukocytes in my blood until I was given antibiotics. They did a chest x-ray (clear) and asthma tests and at 36 and many long bouts of coughs I was diagnosed with asthma.

Anyone experience with a lytic lesion being found? What happened next?

Thanks,

G

  • Hello RGems,

I'm sorry about this accident that happened on your holiday, but hopefully your next appointment with your GP will be able to provide more information. When you’re worried that you may have cancer, it can be natural to think the worst, but this can end up increasing anxiety rather than making you feel better. And the only person that can diagnose you is your doctor. There are some tips here, which might be useful whether your waiting for an appointment or results.

    I hope this helps,
