Sonographer did not say everything looks normal

I am post menausaul at the age of 41. Periods just stopped about 5 years ago. Since then I've had a very light show but scan came back clear and Sonographer told me there and then everything looked normal I also had a smere that was abnormal but after a scan was told everything was fine and to retest after a year.

a couple of weeks ago I bleed for 7 days which was unusual as when I had periods I only bleed for 3 days.

gynie wanted me to have a blood test to double check I was post menopause and the results came back that I was, so I have been rushed through under the 2 week rule.

when I had my scans before and a breast scan due to a lump the Sonographer gave me the results there and then, but yesterday I asked the Sonographer and she just said she will prepare a report and I will be seen in gynie next wed

im convinced they've found something but wouldn't tell me now the waiting is killing me. especially as recently I've been bloated, unable to eat, fatigued like I don't know what and being sick sometimes aswell as urinating more frequently

please tell me did you have a rough idea of results on day of scan like I have normally?
would be greatful for your experiences

thank kindly

  • Hi l have had complex ovarian cysts that were found unexpectedly during a colonoscopy, lm also post menopausal l had scans following an oncology appointment the MRI didn't say anything. The ultrasound Sonographer said when I asked that they had not changed size. Some scanner's don't seem to give results lve never had a comment after a mammogram. I then had another appointment with my consultant who booked me for surgery.
The multiple biopsies results were benign but l waited 5 weeks for them at my follow up.
l hope you have your results soon the waiting is hard.
    try to stay busy
