Hi Everyone. Im 27 and after going to a musculoskeletal specialist for pain in my collarbone (clavicle) and shoulder, they clocked swelling under my left submandibular ramus which they tried to refer with the same ultrasound as my clavicle - which 'they knew would be rejected' and now we are four weeks after my initial appointment.
I now have an urgent wait two-week appointment with the lump clinic as a suspected head and neck for next Friday. I have had this swelling for a while, can't remember when it started but going back through photos I didn't have it in 2021. I haven't had any problems with my teeth or gums and wouldn't say that there is a lump there just swelling. Just wanting to know if anyone has had anything similar? I haven't had any other symptoms, other than all the problems I have been having with my neck shoulder and collarbone. I also have a hard small lump behind my left ear that I presume is a lymph node? Though saying that the last few weeks (2-3) I have noticed swallowing has been more difficult. It wasn't too long ago I had a dental checkup and in terms of my dental health that is all clear. I am really worried and scared and I know that it probably is unlikely to be anything serious but I can't help but google the crap out of it.
I would really like to know if anyone has had anything similar and what it turned out to be and if anyone has been to a one stop head and neck clinic and can share what the experience is like / tests they may do etc.
Thanks in advance, I really appreciate it.
