Hysteroscopy - a positive experience

Hi I went for my hysteroscopy this morning and just wanted to give feedback on my experience. Obviously everyone is different but I thought it might help. I had 2 nurses and the specialist in with me as well as my partner to hold my hand. I'd taken some strong painkillers just over an hour before and they gave me gas and air. I was so nervous I was shaking but honestly for me I hardly felt a thing even when she took the biopsy. She was fairly positive about what she could see but said we'd need to wait for the biopsy results in 2 weeks. I've got a little bit of cramping now a few hours later but it really felt like a positive experience. I hope that helps anyone due to have this. Best Wishes x

  • I'm so pleased your hysteroscopy went well Dee.

I'm sure your experience will really help others who are waiting to have this done so thank you for taking the time to share your insight with us.

I hope the cramping has now stopped and that your results bring good news in 2 weeks time.

    Kind regards,
