Thanks Angie my appointment to be referred for the wle (and officially be given my results) is next Friday , do you know if the wle will be considered urgent ? Also when I'm at this appointment do you think he will look at any other moles if I ask? There's one I've had forever only suspicious because it's two colours and I actually think it's always been two colours but maybe worth getting it checked

Hi Julie,

I can't really say if it will be considered urgent. Most hospitals are experiencing a delay in carrying out a WLE, averaging a 4 week wait, so it depends how long the surgical list is at your hospital. If you are able to take a last minute cancellation tell them, you may get it done quicker.

Most consultants will take a look at anything else concerning a patient so don't be afraid to ask. xx

Hi Angie,

I hope you are well, I just wanted to let you know that I had my WLE last week, I am glad it is now done, I will receive the results in the post in 6 weeks or so. Can I ask you a question  my surgery was on my foreseen, the area feels a little numb next to the wound which I know is normal, but the top of my hand is very touch sore there is no bruising or anything, is this normal do you know ?

Sorry for my late reply, I've been on holiday.

I hope the soreness has settled down now. It's probably due to the nerve endings being affected as they recover and knit back together.

just had my results no evidence of maligna so I’m done phew I have to go back in September to be officially discharged. My arm is healing well although is still a little numb but not so painful anymore, thank you for all your answers to me I appreciate them all

Hi Angie how long does it normally take for slnb results I've been waiting 5 weeks now

I've heard that they are taking anything up to 8 weeks at some hospitals. I would ring the Secretary or nurse next week if you haven't heard anything xx
