I've been waiting on a colonoscopy for a while. I've had biopsied due to rectal lesions to add to the mix. But the abdominal pain, bloating and bleeding I've been getting are awful and just worsening.
The procedure was done by someone who isn't my regular colorectal surgeon. He was running late and it was rushed! I had patches of thick bile throughout my colon and it was so painful. I was screaming!
The procedure lasted no more than 7 minutes and he quickly took some biopsies but I saw what looked like an ulcerated area which he just skipped past and said all looks fine. I'm so appalled. I've had a colonoscopy around 12 years prior and it took much longer. I also didn't have as much bile production or leftover as I did this despite finishing all the prep!
He was also rude and I'm left feeling didapppinted and upset that he just quickly brushed over my procedure to get on to the next patient when he couldn't see clearly the majority of my colon. I don't feel reassured at all. What to do? Should I inform my usual colorectal surgeon who's dealing with my other issues? I'm so upset and can't describe the pain I'm in.
