endometrial cancer

how many have been told its suspected  endometrial  hyperplasia  on the ultrasound  scan and found out it's not cancer I'm getting a hysteroscopy  done Saturday  if I can stand the pain I've been told it's bad .They said they will tell me findings on the day but not biopsy  results what dis anyone get told after the procedure

  • Oh bless you MC1 - it's good you have booked appointment to read the biopsy results - your GP will be able to interpret your results and explain everything calmly to you. I am no expert myself but from what I also read angiomyolipomas tend to be benign tumours and I am sure your doctor will tell you exactly what it is and reassure you hopefully. I also found this thread on our forum where you will find others here who have been diagnosed with angiomyolipoma so don't hesitate to respond if you wish and share your experience with others who've been in a similar place before.

Feel free also if you want to give our nurses a call on this free number 0808 800 4040 - their line is open Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm and will be happy to talk to you and answer questions you may have.

I hope you manage to get some sleep tonight. It sounds like you are in very capable medical hands and that soon I am sure you will get some clarity on all this. It's the not knowing exactly what is going on that may have made your anxiety worse  especially after that feeling of relief you had initially and the fact that you were not expecting this angiomyolipoma diagnosis but it may have a strange unpronounceable name but it doesn't mean it isn't anything sinister .

So don't be sad, we're all here for you and I am sure you will find out more very soon.

    Everything crossed for you!

    Best wishes,
