Scan result times for Bowel cancer

How long does it usually take to get CT scan results?

I had a FIT of 52 hence scan but no one has told me anything. I went online to my hospital notes which have nothing except the CT scan (I had a perforated colon 2 years ago not listed) and apparently I have an appointment with the cancer nurse at the end of the month - but they have not told me that it has just been there since before the scan.

Not knowing is annoying- I can deal with virtually anything provided I have the facts.

    Hi my ct colonoscopy took 10/14 days then I had a call from the colorectal nurse specialist referring to gynaecology oncology clinic on the two week wait.
    How long have you been waiting?
    I think waiting is the hardest bit especially without a time frame of when  to expect to hear from the hospital. 
    l hope you have your results soon

    Thanks. Only a week so time yet. It is just that everything else happened so fast. 

    Literally called the GP. Told to go in that day. GIven FIT. Gave that back. A day later told about blood - 52 - Dr called refused to say anything about cancer but hopefully it would be diverticula - when his whole tone said otherwise. He ordered blood tests with absolutely no time availabe for a2 weeks and I was given a call to go in the next morning. The results were back in the afternoon and looked normal apar fromvery close to sto chronic kidney disease stage 3,

    Told Hospital would call within 2 weekss. 3 days later had a call to see cancer nurse a day laterr. She was in the morning and in the afternoon told I was getting a CT scan the enxt day.

     

    Then ....nothing 

     

    Very much Hurry up and wait.

    As you say it is the waiting that is worst..

    Hi my tests were all at the hurry up then l waited for an appointment with the gynaecology oncology surgeon she said did l want surgery as it could be precancerous. I had day surgery that became a bigger op due to loads of adhesions. 
    Fortunately the multiple biopsies were benign 

    l hope you have a similar outcome
