Advice on something

Hi, this is very personal to ask but would someone be able to help me, I'm 23 with 3 children, I've been having some symptoms but petrified to call a gp. I've found some sort of lump on my cervix, I'm bleeding after sex and it's very uncomfortable. I've had sti screening and I'm negative of everything. Would anyone be able to advise me or if I can test without going to the gp?:neutral:

    Hi Shay,

    Dont be scared. Ask either the GP or well woman clinic or nurse for an URGENT vaginal/cervix examination & a cervical smear test to rule out cell changes that could be of concern. Make sure you're not having a monthly period when you arrange the appointment. Early detection is really important so do NOT delay getting help. It may be nothing major, but you don't know without getting yourself checked. If it is serious then getting help EARLY is key to a swift recovery - good for you and your kids.

    Also get checked for Human Papillo Virus (HPV) or if you're clear, check for any cervix damage due to sex, ask for more info about the HPV vaccine 

    Take care of yourself ASAP.
