Heya all,
I was just looking for some advice... my GP informed me that they have received my biopsy results following a sigmoidoscopy from 3 weeks ago, however, I've been booked into a clinic at the Gastro department for the results but had no information about it.
Usually I can access everything online: I also check my results on the hospital login page... but nothing is on there and neither are any upcoming appointment letters.
I also have called up for further information on general queries eg. the time, date and duration for the clinic (to manage work hours) but they said they cannot give that information and I should expect a letter with the results.
Could the results suggest cancer and that's why they aren't disclosing anything to me? I have had these symptoms for a long time now and I just want some clarity...am I assuming that no news is good news? Surely if it was something urgent they would disclose this to me?
I am not entirely sure how to perceive this and as you are aware it can be quite anxiety provoking, especially as all the tests have exacerbated all the symptoms I'm currently experiencing. Could any give some advice or clarity?
