When will we get results?

Hi,

my dad had a pet scan 10 days ago to check for relapse of lymphoma. He got an appointment through scheduled for 17 days after his scan but this appointment to discuss results came BEFORE his scan.

would they have already called to let us know if the results were bad? Or could they wait and tell us at the appointment next week?

Hi Cats,
They usually like to give you the results face to face, irrespective of the outcome. Unfortunately, in some areas this is not always possible, due to pressure of work. Where this is the case, they do sometimes give both good and bad news via mail or phone.
I sincerely hope that there is no sign of relapse.
