Hi sorry you had bad news, the good thing is everything moves pretty quick from here, xx I'm 2 years past diagnosis, the fear is a lot to deal with, but it does get better over time. Any advice I can offer ??

Hi thanks for your comment can I ask what treatment did you receive x and did you have any side affects I know everyone's different but I'm dreading the feeling ill and scared incase my hair falls out I know everyone doesn't have side effects. The only time I've ever had any hospital treatment was when I had a child 26 years ago xx

Have u been given any info yet, I was staged before hysterectomy which I later found was unusual but was also graded, what Hv u been told so far,

I am jumping in here to say that I had stage 2A cervical cancer 10 years ago at age 49. I wasn't able to have a hysterectomy so I had chemo and radiation. I had 5 rounds of cisplatin, 26 external radiation treatments and 6 internal radiation treatments. My hair did not fall out.I was tired and lost my appetite for a while, but it came back. Don't be afraid, you can do this. Take it one day, one treatment, one appointment at a time. Bring a notebook with to your appointments so you can write down questions you want to ask the nurses/doctors. It helped me to write whatever they told me down, because I would forget about it. Please let me know if you have any questions I might be able to help with. Also, [@Minska]‍ is a good person to talk to about this. Keep us posted.

10 years wow fantastic, sorry to jump on ur post xx I was stage 1a grade 3, hysterectomy March 21, had 5 brachytherapy, bern ok since, slight let hip discomfort over last month but other then that so far ok. Same from me Sam, one day at a time, I was full of fear and still have some bad days but they sort things pretty quick once had intial appointment.

Hi Laura thanks for replying I'm feeling alot better after my 1st appointment  yesterday I got a lot of information given to me I've got my radiotherapy scan today then my treatment will start a few weeks after.  I will be having the brachatherapy at the end I think they said 4 lots. 

The nurses and doctors were so good at explaining things and made me feel alot happier about what is going to happen in the next few months

I'm ok thank you x 2 years yesterday since my hysterectomy, next appointment July. Gosh hope lucky as you and make 10 year mark. My left hip  pain gone, I have a nigglie bit to left side of belly button (2/3 inches below) that going to mention to oncologist on visit, thought at lst might be scar tissue movement but it's in same spot every time so figure worth a mention, but that's the problem now isn't it u never know what's normal. Did u ever have anything u worried about In your 10 years. Thank u for asking after me.
