I had an MRI last week for a 6cm complex ovarian cyst, and I'm anxiously waiting on the results, so unfortunately I know exactly what you are going through-it is a waking nightmare.

I had a ca125 blood test a week before the scan and it was normal. I also had a private gynae appointment the week prior to the scan too as the NHS consultant paper-triaged me off the red flag referral system until I had a ca125 and a pelvic mri.

It should only take a couple of days for your ca125 blood result to come through.

I hope you get some reassurance soon.

Sorry you're going through this too, I'm also anxiously waiting for blood test results (ca125 and lots of other cancer markers) after having abnormal bleeding since last June (sometimes bleeding for 5 weeks straight). Had a transvaginal ultrasound which showed a 5.7cm cyst on my right ovary and 3.8cm on my left. I live in Portugal and it took 4 months to be seen by Gynae there even tho my GP referred me urgently, gynae then did another ultrasound and they just said both ovaries enlarged, and sent me for the urgent bloods. Really hope you get your results back soon and it's good news

I'm going to ring the GP tomorrow just incase by some miracle the results have come back quicker than anticipated.

Just came across your post, it's very similar to what I'm currently experiencing.

I had intermittent bleeding, and heavy periods and bloating for last few months and increased period pain.

Left it for a few months then saw gp, my CA125 is currently 141, I have a 6cm endometrioma cyst on my right ovary which has a solid mass inside it about 1.5cm and some calcification on edge of cyst. 

I was put on 2ww for gynae and will be seen in 7 days.

I hope you get your gynae appointment soon and that everything is OK.
