Hi,

I know how anxious you must be, especially with a 2 week wait. Most consultants prefer to give results face to face, whether good or bad as quite often they need to explain the result and perhaps check any other moles. The best result is benign, the second best is dysplastic/atypical (precancerous) - they may want to check any other moles and/or tell you how to check them as those with a dysplastic mole quite often get another one. The third best is an in-situ melanoma (hasn't grown below the skin's surface and can't spread). If it's Stage 1 or 2 melanoma, hopefully it's been caught and removed quickly. 

Try and keep yourself distracted to get through the next 2 weeks. Good luck and please let us know how you get on.

Thank you for taking the time to reply, I have many moles, and loads of them are on my back, so not easy to keep a check on them. I guess I am worried that when one mole was removed I had another almost identical that wasn't. It is going to be a long wait that's for sure....
