Enlarged lymph nodes

I started with enlarged lymph nodes around a year ago. They started in my groin on both sides had ultrasound they said the lymph nodes are enlarged but normal. A few months later I woke up with excruciating burning pain under my left shoulder blade. Long story short I've had mri scan ultrasound scan chest xray and mammogram no sign of anything abnormal. Still have constant aching burning pain in left shoulder and groin especially when I walk. I am finding more lumps sll the time which feel like lymph nodes all round my left shoulder even in my calf muscle. I have a mole on my right shoulder that I went to my gp with a few months before the lymph nodes started to be problematic. It just appeared and is definitely getting more raised and asymmetrical also has different colours in it. I'm so tired of going back and to for tests and living in fear of cancer my twin sister died 7 years ago from neuroendocrine carcinoma it was very quick and very aggressive and she didn't stand a chance. I feel like the GPS think I'm making an issue out of everything because of my sister. Any advice appreciated

  • Hello Cazg1005

I'm sorry to hear that you've been dealing with some ongoing health concerns over the past year. Whilst it's reassuring to hear that the investigations you've had to this point haven't raised any concerns, it's understandable that you're feeling anxious about what is responsible for your symptoms.

You mention that the new mole on your shoulder has changed. If you've not had this recently checked by the GP then it would be sensible to get this checked.

It can be frustrating when you feel that you're not being heard by a GP but it sounds like they have been supportive in trying to get to the bottom of this by arranging tests and investigations. I don't know if you've explained to the GP how you feel but if you haven't then do tell them this at your appointment.

I'm sorry that I'm not able to give you any answers Cazg1005 but I do hope that your GP is able to help get to the bottom of your symptoms soon and set you on the right path to improving things.

    Best wishes,
