Should I be in this much pain?

Hi, I have a wound inside my breast that antibiotics cleared the infection, this is on top of the large mass in my breast and also my underarm lymph, when on antibiotics the pain went, And I've been having the nursing team out twice a week to tend and redress my wound which is healing, aftery biopsy it was tender the day after which was normal then I was fine for days, but now I'm in agony and in my muscles round the back aswell as in the soft tissue around my breast and under my arm where it was hard but isn't now but the in the areas I had the biopsy and at the back in the muscles which I am holding stiff. Apparently I read online so not sure if true or not that you can experience pain up to weeks after the biopsy even though the sites where the needle went in aren't bruised at all. Sometimes it's a bit like when your anesthetic is wearing off so some feeling and soreness but numbish too.

Ive had oaracetomol and it's not touching it, ibuproohen was until a I realised that you shouldnt have anti inflammatory when the wound us trying to heal as it stops it healing, so no pain relief. I seem to be worse now than when ihad the infection

  • Hi Lara thanks for responding , I don't need to ring GP as I have the nurse coming out again in a few hours to redo my dressing and this time she's coming with the phelobotmist to take my bloods. I have been having problems with dressings in the past , the adhesive on them and that tape causing me pain sometimes, but they started using larger dressings that were a lot better and a charcoal small dressing inside that, I've just noticed that the piece inside I can see through the larger one is more to one side this time and because it's leaked it's hardened the edges which is digging into my skin. Last time they came out it felt numb but they said it is still healing and no sign of infection still, so it's nit infected , they do put a barrier cream on underneath to stop this , and last time she came out I had finally got the antibiotic gel they had been waiting for they put on but I did test it the day before on my other breast and had no reaction or issues. My whole breast before I went to clinic was hard but now I csn feel normal breast tissues again in areas and that's where it's hurting most.
