I know that for many people this period of waiting for biopsy and test results can be really difficult. It's understandable that you've been anxious. 

Lots of people read things into why an appointment has been made so quickly or why results are returned sooner than expected. Unfortunately, it's never as simple as that, results can be returned quickly and be fine and appointments can take longer and the news not be as good as one may hope for. 

Whilst it's easy for me to say try not to worry too much, I know that in practice it's not always easy to do. I know that lots of people have found that talking to someone about their concerns can help to ease their anxiety whilst waiting for news and I wonder if you might find it helpful to chat with one of our nurses. I'm sure they will be happy to listen and offer any advice and support they can. If you'd like to chat with them they're available Monday to Friday 9 am to 5 pm on 0808 800 4040.

You really can't read anything into the speed of the results I'm afraid. Hopefully the consultant will be in touch very soon and you will know more. Good luck, please keep us updated.

Thanks Angie. I will absolutely keep all updated as I've said before I hate a thread that's not closed off. People are so supportive it feels only right to update the good, bad and the ugly. X hoping for a letter as they told me a letter means good news (they way my hospital works)
