Laparoscopy recovery time.

Hi everyone. I'm due to have a laparoscopy to remove a dermoid cyst and I'm looking for recovery stories as I have never had any type of surgery in my life.

I work from home so I am at a desk all day, has anyone has similar surgery with the same work routine and, how long did you/would I expect to be off work?

    It would ideally be best to discuss this with your doctor so that you have an idea of what to expect and so you can plan accordingly as necessary. Hopefully you will have an opportunity to do this soon.

    You are also welcome to post in the 'Ask the Nurses' section of this forum if you'd like to receive a reply from one of our nurses.

    Otherwise, if others here have similar experience to share then hopefully you'll get some more replies soon.
