Cervical Pre Cancer cells

Hi everyone,

 

back in November last year i got diagnosed with stage 3 pre cancer cells (i'm only 21). I went through treatment to find out it had failed (had them freeze off). I feel so depressed/gutted knowing that it could develop into Cervical Cancer. I am back to do some more treatments. I just want to know how you all keep carrying on as this is bringing me to breaking point:

    Welcome to Cancer Chat. I'm sorry to hear you've been having difficulties with this so far. I'm not sure what your next steps are in terms of the treatments, but hopefully you will have some more success with this. Do of course be sure to discuss things with your doctor at all available opportunities in order to get all the information you need and details regarding next steps.

    I'm sure there will be others who have experienced similar so hopefully you'll get some more replies soon. You can also browse or search the forum (using the button in the blue bar above) for other relevant discussions.

    Hi Kate, a few years back I had CIN 1 (precancerous) changes to my cervix. I had a colonoscopy to remove them and smear test follow ups regularly, thankfully it has all cleared up. Just want to give you some hope that treatment can work well! What helped me is focusing on the 'pre' part and catching it in time. Hope you're alright!
