Hi, I'm new to forum posting so forgive me if I'm posting in the wrong place!
I'm a transgender man, meaning I'm changing from female to male and I've been out as transgender for 9 years now.
About a month ago, I started getting bleeding downstairs, like a period, but I'm on the contraceptive pill. It didn't stop for a while, when it did, I was intimate with my partner, but that only caused me to bleed again. I also have lower back pain occasionally but an almost constant pain in my lower tummy area, I don't know whether to chalk those up to being fibromyalgia symptoms, even though they are new for me.
I went to the doctors to get checked out, had a really rough time with gender dysphoria as she used the wrong pronouns for me and called me a girl. But regardless, she did a swab for STIs and I think she did a smear test but im not too sure as I was really uncomfortable and couldn't focus.
I bled quite badly after the tests, and now im waiting for the results, I've also been referred for a colposcopy, though im still waiting on the referral letter to arrive.
I guess I'm posting here to get some comfort, or maybe some reassurance that everything will be okay.
Im 24, I really don't want to have cancer, especially not cervical cancer due to me being transgender.
Any words of advice or comfort or anything would be really appreciated while I wait for results and colposcopy!
