Worried about husband's enlarged prostate & PSA results

my husband gas always had an enlarged prostate  and has regular PSA tests. His PSA last April was 6, now February its 10. I am really worried. Could the enlarged prostate  now be cancer? It seems a huge jump. He is 70 so I expect it to be higher but not this high. He had a prostate MRI 2 years ago and all seemed fine. Anny thoughts? Many thanks. 

  • Welcome to the forum Fluffball although I'm sorry for the worry your husband's latest PSA results are causing.

    Many of our members know what it's like to be in this position, so you are not alone and hopefully some of them will be along soon to offer their support and advice.

    Hello Steph,

    Thank you so much for reaching out and for your supportive words. Yes, it is so worrying and the waiting is the worst part. My husband has completely shut down and refuses to discuss or talk about anything. He is also French so doesn't grasp all of the language. I feel totally alone and its frightening. Thank you so much.
