I am 62 yrs old post menopausal " 23 yrs" I was denied HRT due to past blood clots, having Antiphosphlipid syndrome & being on blood thinners. It was agreed a year ago that I could have estrogen patches to try and prevent further bone loss as now servere osteoporosis. I have a lot of health conditions. This week I suddenly had the worse bleeding for the first time in 23yrs. Resulting in a visit to A&E they have arranged an urgent Hysteroscopy. I have researched this procedure and "IM TERRIFIED TO HAVE IT DONE" ♀️ People have said, it's barbaric, the worse pain ever experienced, worse than natural childbirth, they were screaming in the chair, they passed out etc etc a couple of people have said it's was uncomfortable. I would really appreciate anyones honest experience regarding this procedure?? Seven years ago I had a scan due to pelvic pain & I was told I had a thickened endometrium of 5.3mm and had to return to have a pipelle biopsy, when I returned my INR was to high. So they decided to leave it and get re referred if I had any more problems. Reading that post menopausal women need any thickening over 4mm investigated & I was 5.3 seven years ago " I'm terrified "
